We attended the first Quiz night on Sunday just gone. We had a fantastic evening and cannot wait for the next quiz! Ryan was a wonderful host/quiz master for the evening welcoming, funny and looked after everyone. We had sausage and mash on arrival and the food was fantastic, really tasty sausages and enjoyed by all. The quiz was lots of fun, varied questions and a great turn out, the prizes aswell were a fab incentive. Well done Castle team. Cannot wait for the next one
Had dinner and breakfast here - both were very good with a nice variety. The food was tasty and the service excellent. Prices a bit on the higher side, but overall a great experience.
Went to Ryan’s Quiz Night on Sunday and had a brilliant time. £15 included excellent sausages and mash, plus a really fun quiz. The place was packed with a great atmosphere. Really hope this becomes a regular event because it was clearly popular. Would definitely recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely delicious food! One of the best roast we have had. The service was impeccable, Sam our waitress was so wonderful and attentive. Our food came out very fast, and the view is perfect! Could not recommend more
Had a brilliant night participating in the quiz. Really good price for a meal and quiz. Lovely food. All the staff were great. The quiz was excellent and will definitely go again! Also looking forward to returning for Game night at the end of the month!
Brilliant sausage and mash quiz night! Great atmosphere, really well-run quiz, and the food was spot on – proper comfort food done right. Staff were friendly and kept everything moving, and the questions were a perfect mix of fun and challenging. Such a good laugh with friends. Will definitely be back for the next one
We have gone several times for dinner and/or the stay over the years. We recently stayed in the Cromwell room, which is absolutely lovely - a large living room & then a small hallway to the bedroom & large ensuite. The only reason it does get 5/5 is that the bathroom windows were very draughty, & the coffee making facility in the living room area does not have a nearby sink. making it quite awkward (either bring bottled water or use the bathroom sink). The staff were very helpful & kind to our 4-year-old & we ate at the restaurant, which was as lovely as ever. We stayed over on a weekeday & would that you get some packs of cereal & pre-wrapprd croissants, with milk, butter, & jam in the room fridge. Which was fine for a quick breakfast but a shadow of the cooked weekend breakfasts we've enjoyed before. The car parking was very difficult to get a spot, even at 3pm on a weekday! I'm not sure if staff are using the spaces immediately outside or opposite themselves - but either way, there doesn't seem to be easy access for those staying the night who may have heavy luggage. Overall, an excellent hotel & restaurant, & we look forward to our next stay.
I stayed at the Castle at Edgehill for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were amazing – warm, attentive and truly welcoming. The place itself is beautiful, full of character and charm, and the atmosphere made my stay feel really special. I highly recommend it. The continental breakfast was excellent, and the welcome gin and tonic was such a lovely touch. I would happily return!
